Your Facilitator

Nicole Wood, our lead facilitator in Tasmania is a dedicated practitioner and guide in the realms of holistic well-being and believes in the harmonious union of mind and body as the essence of Yoga. She owns her own yoga studio, Sundara Yoga, offering both in-studio and online classes across Australia, Central America, and Bali. With a sensitive, kind, and feeling-based approach, she combines yoga, pranayama, vedic philosophy, herbalism and feminine alchemy to facilitate profound self-awareness and positive change. Nicole believes in the harmonious union of mind and body as the essence of yoga. Her practice centers on ahimsa, encouraging students to find their own perfect expression of yoga for their unique mind-body constitution.

Specialising in hatha, yin, and gentle flow asana styles, Nicole crafts classes that are accessible yet challenging. This encourages all students to explore their boundaries in a safe and supportive environment, empowering them on their unique journey toward holistic well-being and harmony. She believes that yoga is a transformative practice for both the body and mind. Her teaching style is rooted in mindfulness, self-awareness, and a non-competitive, holistic approach. She integrates ancient practices to foster self-care, grounding, and self-awareness. These serve as potent tools for anchoring positive change in personal and professional spheres.

 

Your Location

The Gallery is located in Garthfield Avenue Cygnet, an easy 50min drive from Hobart. Previously an old Apple Shed, The Gallery is a beautiful open space, with all your amenities, heating and air conditioning and plenty of free street parking. It is a short walk to the main street of Cygnet where there are many cafes (Porthole is Vegan friendly) and other stores including those that service freshly baked pastries, breads, coffee, artisan shops, a larder, whole foods store and galleries with a relaxed, yet artistic vibe. There is a small stream which runs down the side of the venue, which backs off into a field and sports oval. Surrounded by large trees The Gallery has an outdoor area/fire pit area for breakouts and ceremony.

PAYMENT PLANS

$300/month for 10 months (total $3000)

Inclusive: 

  • 14 workshops
  • Online asana workbook
  • 14 x online workshop notes
  • FREE 18 month membership to MHY TV online yoga classes
  • FREE 12 month trainee insurance with MHA (My Health Association)

NB. If you are on a payment plan, the first month’s payment acts as a deposit and is non-refundable should you need to cancel your training prior to workshop 1.  Once you attend your first workshop a $500 cancellation fee will apply if you need to exit from the course to cover our administration fees and loss of income for your vacated spot in the course.  If you have paid in full and need to exit from the course, pro-rata refunds apply minus the $500 cancellation fee.  No refunds can be given 3 months after date of application.

Additional hours and optional costs required for course certification:

60 yoga classes + 3 day Yoga retreat OR 100 Yoga classes. 65% of classes must be with a MHY graduate teacher (online classes count).

  • 3 day Yoga Retreat cost is currently estimated at a special rate for trainees of $670 all inclusive
  • Discounts to yoga classes and retreats is valid for 18 months from enrolment

NB. The above costs are optional since you can choose to log ALL classes through our online yoga classes at My Health Yoga TV.  We do, however, promote attending as many in-studio classes as possible as well as the retreat to maximise your exposure to teachers and fellow trainees.

Unable to attend all workshops or have missed the start of your course:

2 free online modules (only in the event of missing 2 workshops)

  • A discounted rate of $100/online module will apply for any additional in-studio workshops missed

Level 1 Training Intakes

Workshops are held on Saturdays, from 10am-2:30pm. Refer to the schedule below.

Whilst we endeavour to not change dates once published, please notes dates are subject to change if unforeseen circumstances arise.

If you are unable to attend a workshop you have the option to make-up with another group at any location. You will also have the ability to complete 2 modules through the online platform (if required). If you need to do any more than 2 workshops in the online course, a discounted fee of $100/module (valued at $215/module) will apply to cover our administration fees.

Our course is registered as a 12 month course. If extensions are required they will be granted on an individual basis.

  • You may join the training at any time of the year and make up missed workshops in the next intake or as online modules.
  • Workshops can be done out of order so please feel free to join in our training at any time of the year.
