Established as a yoga and healing business in 1998, My Health Yoga has been training yoga teachers since 2003 making us one of the original Teacher Training programs in Australia.

With over 1500 graduates and counting, it is easy to find My Health Yoga teachers in your community. My Health Yoga graduates are the most highly regarded and sought after teachers in south-east Queensland, and also in regional areas where our correspondence students train. With our incredible online Teacher Training, My Health Yoga graduates are now teaching around Australia and even internationally.

Our teachers are so popular because of the perfect mix between traditional and modern Yoga provided through our course. Whilst the Asana (poses) practice and teaching is a key component of our course, we uphold the spiritual essence of Yoga.

Because of this, the vast majority of our Teacher Training graduates find teaching positions quickly in a wide range of settings such as Yoga studios, fitness centres, health clubs, spas and schools. Many of our graduates have founded their own studio with (including establishing multi-studio businesses) due to the nature of our course being so developmental.

My Health Yoga promotes an eclectic approach to Yoga study, and encourages the Teacher Trainee not to limit her/his learning to these courses alone. External knowledge and information may be gathered on Yoga over your lifetime, and internal, intuitive understanding of Yoga will also be developed over your lifetime.

NB. If you are on a payment plan, once you attend your first workshop a $500 cancellation fee will apply if you need to exit from the course to cover our administration fees and loss of income for your vacated spot in the course.  If you have paid in full and need to exit from the course, pro-rata refunds apply minus the $500 cancellation fee.  No refunds can be given after 6 months after date of application.

Additional hours and optional costs required for course certification:

60 yoga classes + 3 day Yoga retreat OR 100 Yoga classes

  • A discounted rate of $12/class at any MHY studio & $20/masterclass. 65% of classes must be logged in the MHY style (with a MHY graduate teacher) for certification (online classes can be counted).
  • For further discounts, you may purchase a 60 class trainee yoga pass for $600 ($10/class).
  • 3 day Yoga Retreat cost is currently estimated at a special rate for trainees of $495 all inclusive. 
  • Discounts to Yoga classes and retreats is valid for 18 months from enrolment.

NB. The above costs are optional since you can choose to log classes through our online yoga classes at My Health Yoga TV.  We do, however, promote attending as many in-studio classes as possible as well as the retreat to maximise your exposure to teachers and fellow trainees.

Unable to attend all workshops or have missed the start of your course:

Registered Yoga Teacher Training

This is a 9-12 month, part-time yoga course that can be completed with a full-time job.

We will meet every few weeks for workshops, completing a total of 14 Modules, 60 yoga classes, 3 day yoga retreat, 4 assignments and 14 questionnaires. Our course is a fully accredited 350 hour Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training qualification.

On successful completion of the training, you will be certified by My Health Yoga and will be eligible for insurance.

This training is suitable for those wishing to teach yoga in fitness centres, health clubs, yoga centres, private training, subcontracting, teaching internationally or for those wishing to operate their own business. The course is also suitable for those not wishing to teach but rather deepen their own knowledge of yoga.

We view yoga as a complete healing system and as such, this is a holistic yoga course, with much emphasis on raising consciousness and developing spirituality. However, this course is also asana based and aims to prepare the trainee to teach beginner/intermediate hatha and vinyasa yoga classes, as well as kids, pregnancy and elderly yoga.  In addition, our trainees will be able to teach meditation, pranayama, philosophy and feel confident to support their students on an individual basis.


Level 1 Teacher training Intakes

Workshops are from 11:30am-4pm.  Whilst we endeavour to not change dates once published, please notes dates are subject to change if unforeseen circumstances arise.

If you are unable to attend a workshop you have the option for makeup with another group at any location. You will also have the ability to complete 2 modules through the online platform (if required). If you need to do any more than 2 workshops in the online course, a discounted fee of $100/module (valued at $195/module) will apply to cover our administration fees.

Our course is registered as a 12 month course. If extensions are required they will be granted on an individual basis.
